George & Lynn ace dies
The creator of The Sun’s saucy George and Lynne cartoon strip has died aged 93. Artist and journalist Conrad Frost wrote the racy series for 35 years until an eye condition meant he had to stop in May 2003. Many, including Conrad’s wife, thought the characters were based on people they knew.

George and Lynne always enjoy a healthy sex life and Lynne first appeared topless in the bedroom under a sunlamp in August 1976. In 1984 George finally displayed his bottom after thousands of female fans complained to The Sun that they did not get to see enough of his body.

Conrad died of a stroke after being taken to St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey. His widow Patricia said: "George and Lynne was the thing he was most proud of. Conrad was a gentleman and the world will be a sadder place now he has died." The strip is now drawn by Spanish artist Gual.
